Helena Hashemi Farzaneh,Udo Lindemannerical methods are almost the same comparing to an analytical method for a homogeneous slope. Additionally, it is shown by a large number of analysis examples that the effect of tension failure on slope stability is significant and the safety factor will be incorrect if tensile failure is ignored in the case of seismic loading.
