Strength of Composites with Fibres, carried out by evaluating the stress state within each layer of the laminate based on the classical lamination theory. Finite Element Method (FEM) is used as a tool to predict the laminate strength. Numerical simulation has been prepared by using a commercially available ANSYS code.

Application of General Boundary Element Method for Numerical Solution of Bioheat Transfer Equation,ch basing on the dual-phase-lag equation (DPLE) is considered. This equation is supplemented by the adequate boundary and initial conditions. To solve the problem the general boundary element method is adapted. The examples of computations for 2D problem are presented in the final part of the paper.

Analysis of Representative Volume Elements with Random Microcracks,factors and speed of the wave travelling through the cracked structure is investigated. The numerically computed Young moduli are compared with the solutions obtained by analytical methods: the non-interacting method, the self-consistent method and the differential method.

Sunlight, Vitamin D and Skin Cancerlse along the fiber, interaction of the pulse with the cladding and generation of a backscattered light signal registered afterwards by the OTDR detector. Juxtaposition of the simulated results and the demands laid on a real system results in several recommendations for further development and optimization of such sensing systems.
