Field Due to a Moving Charged Particle,pared to the distance from the field point that the charged system may be considered to be a particle and the source described by a Dirac .-function. Often the field we are going to find is spoken of as the field due to a moving electron but it should be understood that the theory leaves the electron itself as an unanalysed singularity.

Motion of Charged Particles in Electromagnetic Fields,the particle of charge . and the right-hand side, known as the Lorentz expression for the force, gives the force on the particle due to the electric field . and magnetic field ., . being the velocity of the particle.
