Force-Velocity-Length Relations in Cardiac Muscle Segmentsndependent of length above about 87% .., falling with length below that region (7). It has also been shown that the muscle’s capability for maximal velocity is developed very early after stimulation, as contrasted to the capability for force development, which builds nearly as slowly as the twitch force (7,8).

Time Course of Changes in Action Potential Duration and Ejection Shortening During Regional Transienional ischaemia. The object of this study is therefore to determine the time course of these electromechanical measurements on a beat-to-beat basis during transient occlusion of small branches of the coronary arteries in pig hearts, and to see if they may be causally related.
