Neue Entwicklungen in der DermatologieTRPC6 expression might lead to thrombosis in humans. The role of STIM1, Orai1 and TRPCs, and thus SOCE, in thrombus formation, suggests that therapies directed against SOCE and targeting these molecules during cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events could significantly improve traditional anti-thrombotic treatments.

TRP-Na+/Ca2+ Exchanger Couplinglls. In particular we focus on the potential role of nanojunctions, where the close apposition of plasma and intracellular membranes may help create the conditions needed for the generation of localised rises in Na. concentration that would be required to trigger reverse mode exchange.
