Bifurcations of capillary-gravity interfacial waves, that there is a critical density ratio which strongly affects the type of solitary waves which may bifurcate. Depending on the density ratio, one can obtain “bright” solitary waves or “dark” solitary waves.

Weakly non linear instability of the laminar boundary layer calculated by a parabolic system of equing procedure for the numerical resolution. This approach, called PSE, has the great advantage of allowing non linear models. For an incompressible flow and a two-dimensional mean flow, some results are given hereafter and compared with experiments, secondary instability theory and direct numerical simulations.

Some contributions to asymptotic theory for turbulent shear flows,s leads to a turbulent boundary-layer prediction which is independent of the Reynolds number..Various aspects of turbulent shear-flow prediction are discussed from the viewpoint of asymptotic theory such as: equilibrium boundary layers, viscous superlayer, curvature, separation, low-Reynolds number modelling, and suction or blowing.
