Numerical Simulation of Jets,The reliability of published numerical simulations of fluid jets is assessed. It is shown that the resolution used in these calculations is much too low for the results to be of any use.

Dynamical Effects of Large-Scale Magnetic Fields in Jets,The possible dynamical effect of large-scale magnetic fields in astrophysical jets is discussed. They range from collimation and refocussing of jets to interaction between adjacent current-carrying jets.

The Central Engine,ipolar flows and jets from compact stars are similar and driven by the cores of accretion disks. Some difficulties of the black-hole model are discussed, in particular the problem of the missing ashes. The (super-)massive magnetised core model of an accretion disk (=SMC) is revisited.
