Naibedya Dutta,Suvranil Ghosh,Mahadeb Pal with 50–150 Mrad did not show detectable wear. Wear of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) irradiated with 6.5 Mrad (Aeonian) decreased to 3% by the hip simulator test without deterioration of physical properties. Oxidation caused by free radicals produced by gamma-ray sterilization was extremely low.

https://doi.org/10.1007/978-90-368-0277-2preoperative simulation system was developed to determine if there were problems, and the system was refined so as to be able to use it over the Internet. In this article, the results of these cases and the utility of the preoperative simulation system are presented.
