Rectangular Apertures in a Plane,ce’s equation. A static potential distribution through a thin rectangular aperture in a conducting plane was studied in [1,2] using approximate methods. In the next two subsections, we will consider electrostatic and magnetostatic potential distributions through a thick rectangular aperture and derive their polarizabilities.
