Some Results Obtained in Belgium on Growth, Yield and Quality of Vicia Faba Harvested in Grain or foerior for both yield and yield stability. When harvested green, Maxime, Exelle and Maris Bead have given yields between 8 and 14.5 tons of D.M./ha with crude protein contents of about 16%. Results of the Joint Faba Bean and PEA Trials of the Years 1980–1982and three pea varieties were tested at nine locations in Western Europe. In the average of all environments involved, the highest yielding bean variety was ‘Minica’ which reaches its yield by a higher harvest index as compared to other varieties.
