Effects of Water Stress on Some Growth Parameters and Yields of Field Bean Cropsh rates in dry matter and leaf area exhibited significant though less marked correlations. Seed yield was well correlated with the LAD only after flowering, but with Ψ already from the initial growth stages. Cell turgor appeared to have played an important role on both leaf area growth and final yields.

The Potential of Whole-Crop , for Ensilageshment of undersown grass in faba beans was normally good, but was favoured by lower bean seeding rates and earlier cutting. Whole-crop faba beans appear to be an attractive alternative to whole-crop cereals as an annual silage crop.
