Food web linkage complexity and stability in a model ecosystemes mathematical models with the analogously simple multispecies models, the latter are in general less stable than the former’. In this paper, the question of stability is examined in a multispecies difference equation model under two contrasting degrees of linkage complexity, in a randomly fluctuating environment.
