, the Role of Solvents and Steric Factors in the Resolution of β-Blocker Drugs on Chiral Urea Phases has been known for sometime that the L form shows a 50 to 500 fold greater activity than the D form. Furthermore the work of Nelson and Burke demonstrated that some of the metabolites of the D form showed signs of toxicity. In view of these findings, there has been a natural interest in the resolution of these drugs and their metabolities.
