Micelle Structure in Aqueous Solutions of Polyoxyethylene Surfactantsd sphere plus a short ranged attractive tail. Far away from the LCB the attractive part is negligible, but becomes important upon approach of the LCB. At higher concentrations the predominant interaction is hard-sphere repulsion. In particular, near the mesophase boundaries micellar growth is minor, if present at all.

Quasielastic Light Scattering Studies on Tetradecyltrialkylammonium Bromideelle. At very low micellized concentration (near the CMC), deviation from linearity in C/I vs ϕ (C= micellized surfactant concentration, I=scattered intensity, ϕ=micelle volume fraction) plot towards the direction of decreasing micellar weight was noticed for all surfactants and the deviation is larger for the larger polar head group.
