Spectral Properties of Blazars Observed at Ultraviolet and X-Ray Frequenciesare flatter than average in all bands. The average X-ray luminosity of the whole sample and that of the X-ray selected group are the same. It is suggested that relativistic beaming may enhance the radio but not the X-ray emission of radio selected blazars.

Discovery of Narrow and Variable Lines in the Ultraviolet Spectrum of the Seyfert Galaxy NGC 4151, afications for these lines, for example with transitions excited by fluorescence, have been found. An attractive — but speculative — possibility is that the regions emitting them are associated with a two-sided jet reminiscent of SS 433.
