Multiple Light Scattering in Nematic Liquid Crystalspartial ordering of the nematic phase leads to an anisotropic diffusion process. Or better, the light waves perform an anisotropic random walk in these systems. We have studied the anisotropy in the diffusion constant for light in nematics, by means of time-resolved transmission experiments.
