The Concept of Obligation in the Context of Decision Theory,the essay with a feeling of incompleteness. What can be said about duty in the face of partial ignorance? Prichard does not make the next move to partial degrees of belief and the outlines of decision theory.

Reply to Professor Kyburg,ree! We mainly agree on the criticisms of my approach. One way out is through the concept of expected seriousness mentioned in several places in my paper, but not made part of the formal theory. There is a difficulty about this concept as well, but let me first sketch how the theory might be develop
