A Stratigraphic Sketch of the Caledonide-Appalachian-Hercynian Orogence prepared a series of charts depicting characteristic lithologies for each series from Late Precambrian to Devonian for the presently disrupted orogen. Those contributing to the charts were David L. Bruton, Gilbert Kelling, Jean-Paul Lecorche, S. R. McCutcheon, W. S. McKerrow, R. B. Neuman, Alain

Comments on the Stratigraphic/Structural Evolution of Scandinaviaand southern parts. The structure is characterized by a series of nappes, remarkable for their great areal extent in relation to their limited vertical thicknesses, that have all been displaced southeast-wards onto the Baltoscandian Platform.

Volcanism and Plutonism in the Caledonides of Scandinaviaigraphic packages there are preserved relics of pre-Iapetus rifting, lapetus opening with oceanic crust, lapetus closing with subduction-related arc volcanics and even late extentional magmatism developed on newly sutured crust. Different environments are characteristic of successively higher groups

Volcanism and Plutonism in Britain and Irelande, Dalradian sediments and volcanics accumulated in late Proterozoic to Cambrian times and were deformed by the Cambro-Ordovician Grampian orogenic event. Submarine tholeiitic basalts, such as the Tayvallich lavas and tuffs occur in the Upper Dalradian and are associated with a tholeiitic dyke suite

Main Features of Volcanism and Plutonism in Late Proterozoic and Dinantian Times in Franceprepared for the International Geologic Congress in Paris (1980) as noted in the bibliography (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). The present synthesis includes some new and in part unpublished data on trace elements.
