The Social Science Centre, Lincoln: Free, Co-operative Higher Education,, drawing on traditions of co-operative education and working-class intellectual traditions. In this chapter, experiences of both old and new scholars involved in the SSC are highlighted and contrasts drawn between the SSC and the neoliberal university, and how, on a practical level, such a project can be challenging to live out perfectly.
