Catalytic Properties and Chemical Transformations of ,-W(CO),(C,H,N), Initiator in Ring Opening Metn shift in the coordinated norbornene (η.→η.). The initiating carbenoid group is identified from the products of the spontaneous carbene-CO coupling and Wittig reactions test. Formation of W(CO).(C.H.N) and W(CO).(η.-C.H.CH.) is blamed for catalyst deactivation.
