Phenotype Models,We present phenotypic IBMs and the limit passage from these models to a non-linear transport equation. We study two types of models: with random or assortative mating. In the case of random mating we give a theorem on asymptotic stability of the model. We show that assortative mating can lead to a polymorphic population and sympatric speciation.
