Mentoring at Scale in India: The English Language Initiative for Secondary Schools,se during the project are also noted. Despite these challenges, though, the ELISS experience suggests that mentoring is a model of professional development that can be effectively applied in ELT contexts more broadly and a number of suggestions for doing so are presented.

Mentoring Teacher Research Online,fostering social and cognitive presence and the importance of investing time in getting to know mentees’ contexts. Engagement priorities suggested include future research focused on the roles mentors assume to prompt interpersonal dialogic reflection and the role of emotions in mentoring teacher-research online.
