Inhibitors of RNA Synthesis Interacting with RNA Polymerases, (α.ββ’σ), which can be separated into two functional parts; a core enzyme (α.ββ’) which is able to synthesize RNA but lacks the ability to initiate RNA synthesis at specific points along the DNA chain and the sigma factor which acts catalytically and allows the initiation of RNA chains at specific sites.
