Au(I)-Phosphine Series Designectrophiles, and we demonstrate that chemoselective auration is useful for probing the nucleocapsid topography. We also examined for comparison the “standard” gold-phosphine compound auranofin which contains a thiosugar co-ligand.

Book 2018plores gold(I)-phosphine, gold(III) complexes with N^N and C^N donors as inhibitors of the HIV-1 nucleocapsid protein (NCp7), in comparison to the human transcription factor Sp1. To determine the coordination sphere of the gold adducts formed by interaction with ZnFs, two innovative approaches are u

Probing the Protein: Ion Mobility Spectrometryed with collision induced dissociation (CID). This approach allowed inequivocal elucidation of specific binding sites and modes of gold-modified NCp7 (ZnF2) and Sp1 (ZnF3). While linear Cys-Au-Cys is indicated for NCp7 (ZnF2), a Cys-Au-His mode is indicated for the Sp1 (ZnF3) case.
