In this way compatible and homogeneous data sets of precipitation for any time period and any size of area can be provided.

Extreme Precipitation in the Northern Hemisphere the series has been evaluated, the maximal precipitation’s temporal structure has been investigated. Record amounts of precipitation for various durations have been obtained..In the future, all the generalized climatological infommtion can be displayed in the form of monthly maps, which will be used for applied purposes and for forecasting.
