Molecular Anthropology, ient specimens and DNA extracts with modern DNA is more widespread than is generally acknowledged and remains a significant problem in aDNA analysis. Furthermore, studies of human aDNA are uniquely sensitive to contamination due to the continual presence of potential contamination sources and these助记 发表于 2025-3-23 21:26:36

Worldwide Distribution of a Polymorphic,Insertion in the Progesterone Receptor Gene,s per haploid genome. Of this, only a few thousand are thought to be polymorphic exhibiting both the insertion and lack of insertion alleles. The probability of independent.insertion events at the same site is remote. The ancestral state of an.repeat represents the absence of the insertion while theBUOY 发表于 2025-3-24 06:20:44
Statistical Issues Regarding the Use of Microsatellite Loci for Molecular Anthropological Studies,s, the microsatellites have been the most popular in their use for gene mapping, studying evolutionary relatedness of populations, identifying the source of biological specimens and parentage testing. In this presentation the biological features of repeat polymorphism are briefly reviewed to illustrArthr- 发表于 2025-3-24 08:43:29

Trinucleotide Repeats, Genetic Instability and Variation in the Human Genome, known disease. These findings imply that the process of instability is not exclusively a disease-associated phenomenon. In this chapter, we discuss some of the population genetic properties of these loci, with a general emphasis on questions relating to maintenance of the expanded alleles in human populations.
