Two tests are presented which confirm the small scatter (σ ≈ 0.4 mag) of the corrected magnitude-luminosity index correlation (RC2 system) in the Virgo S cloud and in the Hercules supercluster.

A Review of Large Wind Turbine Systems,to the use of supernovae as distance indicators. In particular, we wish to emphasize that theoretical supernova atmosphere calculations are now available to effect the connection between observations and hydrodynamical models.
