A Shape Function Routine for a Thin, Curved Beam Finite Elementen used to develop the shape function array for the element. The formulation of the shape function array and the associated programming details are provided. Numerical studies have demonstrated that the element may be used for the solution of geometric non-linear problems.

Numerical Investigation of the Deformation Behaviour of Elastic-Plastic Circular Thick-Walled Tubes of long tubes subjected to external pressure and axial load under generalized plane strain conditions are analyzed and the influence of axial load, the Bauschinger effect and corner formation including the corner angle,and the mobility of the corner axis to the direction of stress history upon global and local deformation behaviour is clarified.

On the Selection of Stress Parameters for Hybrid/Mixed Finite Elementsoosing appropriate stress terms in conjunction with the assumed displacement field. The primary considerations are: suppression of kinematic deformation modes and a favorable constraint index for application to limiting cases. Four different elements are used to illustrate the suggested guidelines.

Reduced Integration, Nonconforming Modes, and their Coupling in Finite Elementsisplacement modes are presented in this paper. The results obtained by both NC8-A and NC8-B elements converged to the exact solutions very rapidly as the mesh is refined. These elements are also shown to be applicable to the wide range of plate problems, giving a high accuracy for extremely thin plate in particular.
