Human Evolution was once a relatively flat region into jagged mountains with deep valleys and plateaus. As the topography changed, so did the flora. Plant life ranged from that of a cloud forest, to a savannah and a desert. This region became East Africa’s Great Rift Valley.

Physics: Around 1900elvin. Throughout his life he had an over riding goal of making science useful. His effort was apply illustrated with his involvement in telegraphy and efforts to advance the transatlantic cable projects in 1857–1858 and 1865–1866. This work earned him the aristocratic title of Lord Kelvin and entry into the House of Lords in 1892.

Physics: 1900–1950came known as the inventor of the Geiger Counter, the instrument they used to measure the alpha radiation.) Rutherford correctly assumed that because the alpha particles were more massive and of atomic dimensions compared to electrons, they would be key to understanding the nature of matter. His intuition was right.
