Econometric Analysis of Count DataRabbits, like humans, are perinatal brain developers. We have developed a model of fetal hypoxia-ischemia that results in postnatal rabbit kits with a phenotype analogous to that observed in humans with cerebral palsy. This chapter gives a practical approach to performing the model and shows the range methods available for study using the model.

Animal Models of Cerebral Dysgenesis: Excitotoxic Brain Injury, escribe the procedure to generate a model of excitotoxic injury by intra-cerebrally injecting glutamate analogues. This model provides tools for investigating excitotoxic influences at various stages of neural development and for identifying protective substances against excitotoxicity.
