Some Work at the Royal Aircraft Establishment on the Behaviour of Vortex Wakesstraight and swept wings are described. The results of observations on the formation of loops in a vortex wake, on the behaviour of the wakes close to the ground and on the development of the wake from a slender wing are, given in some detail.
