The stability of inequalityed remarkable stability, at least in the last 25 years. Figure 1 shows this almost unbelievable stability in the relative income shares. Figure 2 suggests a similar stability in the distribution of capital, though it is harder to get complete data on this; of course if we include human capital, the situation becomes much more complicated.
