Metacarpal Fractures in the Athletes,which would warrant surgical intervention. Clinical assessment of rotation deformity is critical. Plain radiographs should suffice to delineate most fracture patterns, but the basal injuries may benefit from CT scanning. Timely and appropriate treatment should allow most athletes to return to play at the pre-injury level.
