Aerodynamic Loads on Aircraft Encountering Vortex Wakes of Other Aircraft,ntial everywhere outside the aircraft and its vortex wake. The vortex wake represents a thin vortex sheet, i.e., a surface with a jump of the tangential component of the velocity field. The flow separation lines are taken to be the sharp edges of the aircraft’s surface.
