A fast rendering method using the tree structure of objects in virtualized bronchus endoscope systelection of visible branches at the current viewpoint and the view direction. We implemented this method into VBE and evaluated the rendering speed by using real chest X-ray CT images. In the result, improvement of rendering speed was confirmed comparing to our previous system.

Real-time merging of visible surfaces for display and segmentation,e surfaces can also be used as an aid in segmentation for applications requiring object models and to easily combine volumetrically defined structures with purely geometric information (e.g., computed isodose surfaces).

Robust 3-D reconstruction and analysis of microstructures from serial histologic sections, with empreconstructed objects have a generally unmapped and unknown topography. Visualizing anatomic microstructures in 3-D and analyzing their topography will help physicians to better understand and correctly interpret changes in disease.

Segmentation of the visible human for high quality volume based visualization,A combination of interactive classification and supersampling visualization algorithms is described, which delivers greatly enhanced realism of 3D reconstructions of the Visible Human data set. Objects are classified on basis of ellipsoidal regions in RGB-space. The ellipsoids are used for supersampling in the visualization process.
