,Building on the Foundation (1996–2002),The first 6 years of the College of Computing was one of envisioning, designing, and building a foundation, but included only a very modest expansion in faculty size and new programs. This chapter describes what happened in the next 6 years and provides some elaboration of how and why we did certain things.
