Geodesy-VLBI ObservablesThe prime observables in interferometry are the fringe amplitude and the fringe phase. Geodesy-VLBI data with strong fringes, i.e., with good signal-to-noise ratio, improve the result. The useful information is, however, in the fringe phase and in its variation with time and frequency.
