Discourses of the Muslim Other,necessary to theorize such an analysis. While that might be accomplished in other subfields of medieval studies with a requisite bow and nod to the appropriate foundational texts, such is not quite the case in medieval German studies, where that theorization has not yet been comprehensively executed
