Stephen M. Blackburndary Neutral Mass Spectrometry SNMS is found to be very appropriate for high resolution depth profiling. When the influences of unavoidable physical effects are taken into account, atomically sharp interfaces can be identified. Examples for depth profiling by low energy SNMS with extremely high depth resolution are presented.
