S. Dempe,N. Dinh,J. Duttais still an excellent reference today. The review article by Murphy and Parkinson is an excellent reference on underground communication. Both geophysical prospecting and underground communication require transmission of signals into the earth and, as a result, the same antenna types are used for both applications.
