Flower Morphology,the stigma is capitate and light green. The five anthers of young uchuva flowers are dark purplish-blue and oblong-shaped, whereas mature anthers are brown. They bear two longitudinal slits on their surface that split or dehisce to release pollen. Following anther dehiscence the entire corolla, including petals and stamens, senesces.
