New Results on the Analysis and Optimization of A k-Out-of-n:F System with RepairIn this paper we review some of the recent results on the reliability of the linearly ordered consecutive-k-out-of-n:F systems. We also examine repairable systems of this type and propose new models for their static and dynamic optimization. Potential applications are also discussed.

Experiences with Process Fault Detection Methods via Parameter Estimations parameters. The general procedure is outlined, comprising parameter estimation, feature extraction, fault decision and classification. Experimental results are given for the detection of several faults in an electrical drive/centrifugal pump set and an steam heated heat exchanger.
