Migration in Swiss Broadcasting (1960s–1970s): Players, Policies, Representationss not have the objective to reach wide-ranging, generalised conclusions, but instead intends to be an explorative study to verify if expanding analysis of immigration in a comprehensive way, including forms of immigration and emigration to and from one country for a given period, opens new perspectives on the representation of the phenomenon.

Social Assistance and Self-Organised Interest Groups: The Counselling Centre for Foreign Workers andopic of education—a main concern of the migrants and the counselling centre. The counselling centre needed to position itself between the ‘overforeignisation’ movement, the everyday xenophobia and its will to help migrants. By doing so, it reproduced up to some point the ideal type of a ‘foreigner’ who should be thankful and happy to do any work.
