Parathyroid Cancerted of having a parathyroid carcinoma. Surgical excision can be curative if the surgeon’s index of suspicion is high and a complete resection is performed. Locally recurrent or metastatic disease is not a contraindication to surgery, and an operation may be the only means available to control the resultant hypercalcemia.
