Photometry and Spectroscopy of the 1972 Supernova in NGC 5253Apparently very bright supernovae are especially interesting from two points of view. Firstly, they provide the possibility for detailed and exact study during maximum luminosity. Secondly, they give us a favourable opportunity to obtain a good coverage of supernova evolution.

Photometry of Supernovaehe complex bands and features of the type I spectrum changed in a characteristic way with time and therefore could be related to light curve phase. A composite, standard type I light curve is shown in this conference by Rosino, Barbon and Ciatti.

The Asiago Supernova Searchch continued for several years, was made by Romano who found two supernovae 1957 . in NGC 4374 and 1961 . in NGC 4561 using for the survey two small astrographs. When the Schmidt was ready, the supernova survey entered in the plan of cooperative search organized by Prof. Zwicky.
