What If You Had a Bucket?,hin the superfluid component of the He II. These vortices interact with the normal fluid component of He II via mutual friction. This interaction has important implications for the practical use of He II. The theory of these vortices, their detection and their potential use in studying both quantum and classical turbulence is discussed.
