A New Helium Atom Scattering Apparatus,ment can be used for helium diffraction studies, thermal desorption measurements and uptake experiments. In addition, the new spectrometer aids in the equipment development for the HeSE apparatus. The main design features of the apparatus are described and characterisation experiments as well as first structural studies presented.
