Data Acquisition and Processing in Strong Motion Seismologye in this field. Particular emphasis in given to the problems of the management of the network and of the analog to digital conversion of data. The numerical processing of accelerograms is introduced as an important but not crucial step in the formation of data. Some comparisons between Italian and North American strong motion data are presented.

Strong Ground Motions in Italy: Accelerogram Spectral Properties and Prediction of Peak Valuest aspects from the standpoint of accurate modelling are: a good knowledge of the seismotectonics of the region and the wave propagation mechanisms in the crust. This paper elaborates on the strong motions in Italy with special emphasis on the accelerogram spectral properties and prediction of peak values.
