Some Dynamical Applications of Shock Wave Propagation in Solids,rations are carried out for four metals and .-diagrams, and pressure and radius relations are obtained. An expansion suitable for the initial stage of crater formation is described together with some numerical calculations, and the impulsive nature of the shock process is discussed, as well as the limitations on the method of progressing waves.
