Textbook 2009Latest editionconsider random walks evaluated after a .random. number of steps. Examples are sequential analysis, queueing theory, storage and inventory theory, insurance risk theory, reliability theory, and the theory of counters. .Stopped Random Walks: Limit Theorems and Applications .shows how this theory can带来墨水 发表于 2025-3-23 18:55:34

Perturbed Random Walks,s covered in Chapter 3 and onwards. The next one was considered in Section 4.5, namely “time dependent” boundaries. Since the appearance of the first edition of this book in 1988 research in the area has moved on. In this chapter we present some of the post-1988 development.健壮 发表于 2025-3-24 21:08:28

Limit Theorems for Stopped Random Walks,e studies first passage times across horizontal levels, here, in particular, the zero level corresponds to the first ascending ladder epoch. In reliability theory one may, for example, be interested in the total cost for the replacements made during a fixed time interval and so on.
